- •Assist with payroll processing, ensuring timely and compliant handling of employee payments and related documentation.
- •Help maintain organized financial records, including filing, auditing basic entries, and generating simple reports as needed.
- •Support general administrative tasks related to finance, such as tracking budgets, monitoring accounts receivable/payable, and preparing documentation for audits.
- •Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
- •Perform other ad-hoc financial duties as assigned to support the organization’s operational needs.
Required Qualifications
- •Proven experience with QuickBooks for data entry and basic financial management (or equivalent hands-on coursework/projects demonstrating proficiency).

- •Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in handling numerical data.
- •Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data organization and reporting.
- •Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle part-time hours effectively.
- •Ability to work independently in a remote setting while also collaborating in-office in Corona as required.
- •High school diploma or equivalent; current enrollment in or recent graduation from a college program in accounting, finance, or a related field is highly encouraged.
Preferred Qualifications
- •Experience with monday.com for project management and workflow tracking.
- •Familiarity with Church Management Systems (CMS) like Planning Center for managing financial-related tasks such as donations, budgeting, or member contributions.
- •Prior experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment, with an understanding of grant tracking or donor management.
- •Relevant academic projects, coursework, or personal initiatives (e.g., building a budget tracker in Excel, simulating payroll processes in a class project, or managing finances for a student organization/club).
- •Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new tools and systems.
What We Offer
- •Transparent Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- •Flexible Hybrid Schedule: A mix of in-office (Corona, CA) and remote work to fit your lifestyle, perfect for balancing with studies or other commitments.
- •Growth Potential: Opportunity for increased hours and potential advancement based on performance and organizational needs.
- •Meaningful Work: A collaborative, supportive team environment where your contributions directly support our community-focused mission.
- •Mentorship: Professional development opportunities, including hands-on experience with financial tools and exposure to nonprofit operations to build your resume.
